Fishing in the desert

These pictures are from more than a year ago, but are from a memorable family day. A big sporting goods store here in town sponsored a fishing event in the parking lot.

There were huge tanks with glass sides teeming with fish. Each child got to borrow a fishing pole and catch as many as they could.

Catch and release, that is. Oh, except despite there being hundreds of fish--they weren't biting that day!

The girls had a good time anyway.
